Concept of Game play
In Pirates you have several different types of characters in your crew... Pirates, Farmers, Hunters, Fishermen and more. As you can see on this screen in the top left hand corner you have a compass with different directions on it (North, South, East, And West). These will allow you to move around on the map. The Game is set up like a checkerboard. Each space on the map having something different in it. There could be Just Sea. Which basically means that there is nothing on that space. There could be a Gold mine for your Pirates to find Gold. Which happens automatically and the game will tell you how much Gold they found. There can also be Forest's or Schools of Fish or more. This is where your Crew can collect more Food or Building materials, and like the Gold mines it will tell you exactly how much you found, You can increase the amount of materials you find in mine's and Forest's buy buying more men from Small Villages on the map. There is Hurricane's that reduce your moves and Box's that contain many different items for you.

men or Your Crew
You have Crew on Your Ship and on your Base Island. These men do the following for you.
Pirates: These Fight Outgoing Battles so when you find another players Base Island they will do the fighting for you so the more of these you have the better the chance of winning a battle.
Defence: This is for Defending Your Base Island against other Players trying to attack you so the more you have the better the chance of winning an Incoming Battle.
Farmers: These Grow Crop for you each day for you to sell in the market. The more of these you have the more they will grow for you to sell.
Hunters: These Hunt for meat when you move around the map. Also they are the Spy's for Spying on other Base Island's so you can see what the other players have got. The more of these you have the better chance for Spying and They get more meat for you too.
Fishermen: These Gather Fish on the map for you to sell in the market. The more you have the more Fish they will gather.
miners: These are a good buy from Small Villages. They can Dig for Silver, Gold, Stone, Iron and Jewels. The more miners you have the more of these you will Gather.
Lumberjack's: These collect Wood From Forest's the more you have the more Wood you will Chop Down.

moves are simply a way of getting around the map.

map Places
There are different places on the map and this is a list of the different type's and what they mean and do.
1 = Base Islands , These are The players Base Islands that you can attack and Spy on to collect Points and Gold.
2 = Forest's Gives Wood. more Lumberjacks you have the more Wood gained from each Forest.
3 = Small Village , This is where you Buy more men.
4 = Gold mine , This is where you get Gold from The more miners you have the more Gold you find.
5 = Silver mine , This is where you get Silver from The more miners you have the more Silver you find.
6 = Cliff , This is where you get Stone from The more miners you have the more Stone you find.
7 = Give 10 , This gives 10 of a random thing, Like 10 Pirates or 10 Defence or even 10 moves.
8 = Empty Island , Nothing here just an empty Island.
9 = message in a Bottle , Nothing here just a floating bottle.
10 = 25 Free moves , This gives you 25 Free moves.
11 = 50 Free moves , This gives you 50 Free moves.
12 = A Box , You gain 2 Free Points or you might lose 1 Point.
13 = Hurricane , You lose 50 moves for going here. (best avoid)
